A message from the principal . . . 

Welcome to McGill Elementary

I am incredibly excited and honored to serve as the principal of McGill Elementary. There is something special happening at McGill, and I am thrilled to be part of this next chapter as we come together to define who we are, what we believe, and what we want for every child who walks through our doors.

This year, we are intentionally taking time to discover our purpose as a school community. We are listening to our staff, our students, and our families as we identify our hopes and dreams for McGill and begin building a shared vision for our future. At the heart of this work is a simple belief: every student can grow, and every student deserves a school community that believes deeply in their potential.

We are committed to looking for growth—not only in academic achievement, but in confidence, character, curiosity, relationships, and a love of learning. We will celebrate where our students are today while continually asking, What is their next step, and how can we help them get there?

And while we are building our vision, we are also quite literally building McGill! Our campus is undergoing an exciting transformation, with two beautiful new additions currently under construction and slated for completion in July 2027. These new spaces will give our students and staff even more opportunities to learn, create, collaborate, and grow.

Most importantly, we know that the best schools are built in partnership with families and the community. Your hopes, ideas, experiences, and dreams for your children matter. We want McGill to be a place where families feel welcomed, heard, and valued—and where we work together to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive.

I am excited about where we are headed, grateful for the people who are helping us get there, and honored to be on this journey with the McGill community. The best is yet to come!
