San Angelo ISD Students Display Artwork Depicting Hank the Cowdog at Coop Gallery

San Angelo ISD students from Fort Concho Elementary participated in the Hank the Cowdog Art Contest called “Hank on Tour '' in collaboration with Heritage Park. Second, third, and fourth grade students produced illustrations of Hank the Cowdog, the main character in the famous children’s book series, depicting him in and around venues in the San Angelo area. The top ten submitted illustrations were proudly displayed in the Coop Gallery this week and the last day to view the illustrations is tomorrow, Friday, June 25th from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm.

We send a proud congratulations to our students and commend their creativity which exemplifies the attributes of the SAISD Learner Profile. We know students participating in the fine arts benefit in so many ways including strong academics. A special thank you to Mrs. Holly Stevens, art teacher at Fort Concho Elementary, for engaging your students in an inspiring education which promotes academic excellence and cultivates their unique talents!
