San Angelo ISD Names Coach Steven Pinchback New Lake View High School Girls Basketball Head Coach and Assistant Athletic Coordinator

San Angelo ISD and Lake View High School proudly announce Coach Steven Pinchback as the new Head Girls Basketball Coach and Assistant Athletic Coordinator. Coach Pinchback comes with fifteen years of classroom teaching and coaching experience and has served as an assistant athletic coordinator of a 6A school district.  

As a graduate of Lake View High School, Coach Pinchback is ecstatic to return home. “I’m extremely honored and humbled for this opportunity,” said Coach Pinchback. “It’s time to bring a champion mindset to Lake View High School!” 

 “It always brings us great pride when a former graduate of San Angelo ISD returns to give back to the district they themselves grew up in,” said Dr. Farrah Gomez, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources and Professional Learning.

Coach Pinchback most recently served as the Head Boys Basketball Coach at San Marcos High School since 2019.  Prior to serving in San Marcos CISD, Coach Pinchback was the Assistant Athletic Coordinator/Head Basketball Varsity Boys Coach at Hays CISD for Lehman High School.  Under his leadership, his team had the most wins in a season in Lehman history for that time (2017-2019) and most district wins in a season in Lehman history for that time (2017-2019). Coach Pinchback also served as Varsity Assistant Coach at DeSoto ISD (2015-2017) where they were the 6A state champions in 2016.  Coach Pinchback served in Desoto ISD from 2007-2015 at McCowan Middle School as the Middle School Athletic Coordinator and Physical Education Teacher.

Coach Pinchback believes in the development of the whole athlete,  not only in the gym but in the classroom as well.  Coach Pinchback has been recognized for his excellence on the court where he has served as the Head Coach of The Metroplex 24 All Star basketball game. Coach Pinchback is excited to lead the Lake View Maidens and believes it is their time to shine!
