Lake View High School Celebrates Homecoming with Adventure-Themed Spirit Week, Parade and Community Pep Rally

Lake View High School Chiefs and Maidens set out on a week-long adventure during their homecoming festivities, all leading up to tonight’s game against Lubbock High on Friday, September 19, 2025, at San Angelo Stadium.

Throughout the week, students and staff joined in on dress-up-day contests inspired by the theme “Going on an Adventure to Find Victory!” including:

• “Up” Day – Dress like your favorite character from the movie “Up,” explorer or adventurer
• Join “Men in Black” in their Alien Adventure to Outer Space – dress in black tie and sunglasses, NASA, aliens or astronaut
• Tourist vs. Dora – Dress up like you’re heading on a trip as a tacky tourist or a rugged explorer
• Smurf Day – Wear ALL BLUE!

On Wednesday evening, the festivities continued with a parade featuring Lake View students and staff along with elementary and middle schools in the LVHS feeder pattern, all decked out in their best adventurer gear. The parade was followed by a spirited community pep rally, complete with performances from Lake View Cheer, the Chiefettes, and the band, as well as the announcement of the 2025 Homecoming Court.

The court included Dukes Justice Gutierrez; Camdyn Irvine; Micael Lozano; Domonic Randall; and Trace Woods; and Duchesses Jordin Bejil; Peyton Jones; Maxima Poe; Sandra Ponce; and Analycia Vasquez. The crowning of Homecoming King and Queen will be announced before tonight’s game at 6:20 p.m.

Homecoming, a tradition welcoming back former Chiefs and Maidens, is alive and well in San Angelo. All alumni are invited to attend the game starting at 7 p.m. at San Angelo Stadium to cheer on our players and student groups.
